The Subsurface development team proudly announces the release 5.0.10 of Subsurface, an open source dive log and dive planning program for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

This version adds a number of small features a couple of bug fixes.

Changes in Subsurface 5.0.10:

new feature:

  • implement panning of the profile

  • infobox: show an icon for warnings

  • planner: allow handle manipulation in zoomed in state

  • use combobox for moving sensor between cylinders

  • remove divesite list from tab-widgets

bug fixes:

  • import: allow import of divesites without UUID

  • divelist: do not include planned versions of a dive if there is real data

  • fix key composition in tag widgets and dive site widget

dive computer support

  • fix Ratio dive computer detection for BLE only devices

Where do I find binaries?

Binaries are available for Windows, Mac, and an AppImage for x86-64 Linux (plus distribution specific binaries for a number of Linux flavors including Ubuntu, Fedora, and openSUSE).

You can get Subsurface 5.0.10 from these locations:

Windows: https://subsurface-divelog.org/downloads/subsurface-5.0.10.exe

Mac: https://subsurface-divelog.org/downloads/Subsurface-5.0.10.dmg (this is intended for the latest macOS version. For other macOS versions, see the downloads page)

Linux: A generic AppImage is available for download: Subsurface-5.0.10-x86_64.AppImage, make it executable

chmod +x Subsurface-5.0.10-x86_64.AppImage and then simply run this file.

Linux: Snap Get it from the Snap Store

Linux: Ubuntu: Add ppa:subsurface/subsurface to your software sources; the .deb in that PPA can also be installed on sufficiently current versions LinuxMint; see the Downloads page and use http://ppa.launchpad.net/subsurface/subsurface/ubuntu to get our latest release version.

Linux: openSUSE: go to our open build service release page
